Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director PCSupt Benjardi Mantele said, the PNP, particularly the QCPD, is fully prepared for the upcoming first State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Benigno Simeon Aquino III on July 26 at the Batasan Pambansa, in Quezon City. Gen. Mantele said, “The QCPD has been preparing for the past few days for the smooth and orderly opening of the 1st regular session of the 15th Congress and will maximize deployment of policemen to thwart any untoward incident”. |

QC Policemen Rescue 222 ‘Rugby Boys’, Street Dwellers, Vagrants, Prostitutes Quezon City Police District (QCPD) policemen in coordination with the Social Services Development Division (SSDD), Quezon City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (QCADAC) and other concerned agencies conducted rescue operations of rugby boys, street dwellers and prostitutes in different areas in Quezon City yesterday. QCPD Director Police Chief Superintendent Benjardi Mantele said, a total of two hundred twenty two persons, consisting of rugby boys, street dwellers, vagrants and prostitutes were rescued and brought to the QCPD Headquarters in Camp Karingal, Sikatuna, Quezon City. Those rescued are composed of adults and minors and will be turned-over to concerned agencies and departments for proper disposition.

QCPD to hold dialogue with rally organizers With few days before the first State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Benigno Simeon Aquino III, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) will hold a dialogue with leaders of cause-oriented groups, rally organizers and other stakeholders on July 21 at the Sulo Hotel in Quezon City, in consonance with the directive of the Regional Director, NCRPO, PDIR ROBERTO LANSI ROSALES. QCPD Director Police Chief Superintendent Benjardi Mantele said, “The objective of the dialogue is to discuss primarily the security preparation and operation that will be undertaken by the Philippine National Police particularly the QCPD who has jurisdiction over the area.” “It will also be a venue to thresh out particular issues relative to the conduct of mass actions, or rallies whether for the administration or against. Although we have no list yet of any certain group that will stage mass demonstrations during the SONA, the police force is prepared to react to any eventuality that may happen,” Gen. Mantele said. |
